what was soon to be the longest journey of our lives...
okay not really, but it was a lonnnnnnnnng weekend and not the kind you look forward to on a May 2-4.
This is the breakdown of our trip to the other side of the world:
- Home to Toronto: 1 hr + 3 hrs checking in/luggage/waiting
- Toronto YYZ to Tokyo HND = 13 hours in the air + 7 hour layover
- Tokyo HND to Manila MNL (Philippines) = a quick 5 hours in comparison
- A last minute Manila MNL to Kalibo KLO flight, which led to a 10 hour layover + a 1hour 30min flight
- Shuttle service (also found last minute) from Kalibo to Caticlan = 1 hr 30
- Caticlan to Boracay Island via ferry: a short 5 mins
- FINALLY a random motorbike/'taxi'/stillunsureofname ride to our resort and we are settled in on the beautiful island of Boracay (January 11th 2016)

TOTALLING a strenuous 42 hours of travel time, which felt like 3 days smashed into one (we attempted to nap on airplanes, airport benches, bumpy van rides etc... with very limited success).
But we are here now safe and sound leaving these long couple of days in the past and looking forward to more views like this:
rather than this:
Happy you are safe and sound. Looking forward to keeping up on the adventures. XXOO. momma Jenn
